CNN via National Parks Traveler reports on the Yellowstone bison who charged at two tourists that got too close while taking video.
The video also shows someone off camera throwing a stick at the animal which has many speculating that this could have provoked the bison to charge.

Sea lions back in SF

Last fall, after ballooning to a population of 1,700 animals layered two and three deep on the docks, the sea lions departed as if following orders, leaving behind only a few stragglers.
Marine experts believe the animals might have traveled 500 miles north, looking for fish and colder waters along the Oregon coast.

Idaho moose encounters
The Idaho Statesman's Pete Zimowsky shares his readers' moose sighting tales.Kathy and Bob Durbin along with their dog Scruffy were kayaking around northern Idaho's Spirit Lake (pic right) when they came across this female moose who was quietly munching away on water plants.

Inland Northwest animal spotting
